Drafts and negotiates EPC, LNTP, pre-construction, equipment supply, lien waiver, and other construction agreements for renewable energy projects. Advises on procurement, warranties, delivery, tariffs, trade restrictions, change-in-law, regulatory issues, and contractual risk allocation. Partners with development, construction, project management, procurement, finance, and senior management teams to support project execution and resolve legal issues across solar and energy storage projects.

Supports DESRI’s Legal team on renewable energy project development, acquisitions, financings, construction, and operations. Responsibilities include legal research, transaction and project document review and preparation, due diligence, and assistance with commercial and portfolio-related legal matters. The intern will collaborate with legal and business teams, gain exposure to project finance and transactional law, and present work to colleagues at the end of the 10-week program.

Ten-week summer interns support DESRI’s Finance & Acquisitions and Strategy teams by building financial analyses and investment models, conducting due diligence, researching power markets and competitors, evaluating renewable energy and storage opportunities, and synthesizing insights for investment and business planning decisions.

Provides paralegal and legal operations support to senior legal leadership and the broader legal team. Responsibilities include contract review and administration, corporate governance, entity management, regulatory filings, transaction closings, due diligence, compliance documentation, deadline tracking, and legal records management. The role partners cross-functionally and with external counsel while improving legal workflows, including identifying opportunities to use AI in legal processes.

Lead Total Rewards and People Operations programs including compensation, benefits, retirement, HRIS (Rippling), payroll oversight, leave and immigration compliance. Partner with Human Capital and Finance on compensation cycles, performance reviews, and payroll controls. Improve policies, processes, reporting, automation, and employee experience while building cross-functional partnerships.

Lead people strategy across employee relations, performance management, talent development, and workforce planning. Advise senior leaders on complex employee matters, drive talent, promotion, and succession planning, improve HR policies and processes, ensure employment law compliance, and support broader human capital initiatives to strengthen organizational performance.

Build and lead DESRI's internal IT function: define IT strategy and governance, manage infrastructure and enterprise applications (Microsoft 365, HRIS), lead cybersecurity and compliance, oversee vendor and budget management, establish service delivery and Help Desk, and scale a global IT team to support distributed operations and remote employees.
