In this position, you will join a team of Retail SMB Sales in order to generate, develop and expand business opportunities and company revenue in this vertical. You will interact with the highest-ranking executives of consumer-facing companies and sell through trust-based consultative processes. You will strive to understand their strategic marketing initiatives and business problems in order to educate and motivate them to embrace Optimove’s solution to meet their customer engagement needs. While this is an individual contributor role, you will be managing the complete sales lifecycle and collaborate with all technical and customer-facing internal teams.

The solutions engineering role is a perfect fit for those with a technical background and exceptional communication skills. You work in tandem with the New Business team throughout new deal cycles to answer technical questions, lead integration discussions and product deep dives. You help think of creative solutions for our future customers, especially when it comes to how the disparate pieces of the MarTech landscape can best work together. You’ll become an Optimove product and MarTech landscape expert. You’ll assist in answering RFP’s, and in education efforts for the whole New Business team. The ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with what HTML, Javascript, and relational databases are, and can learn how to communicate the technical parts of our product in a way that is clear, compelling, and concise. Interpersonal skills are as valuable as technical skills in this role. We are looking for a strong team player with a solid work ethic, highly developed time management skills, and an ability to thrive within a rapidly expanding company on the cutting edge of marketing technology.

· Build genuine and effective new customer relationships and nurture from initial product demonstration through budgeting and pricing and up to closure. · Build an internal revenue plan reflecting her portfolio and prospect clients. · Deliver Web-based and in-person sales presentations and demonstrations of variable technical complexity, responding to changing business needs. · Generate your own opportunities leveraging existing relationships or through cold outreach. · Attend conferences and marketing events and generate quality opportunities. · Collaborate with Optimove data-science, customer success, marketing and professional services departments to improve the sales process and experience both internally and externally. · Occasional travel to meet prospects, customers and trade shows.
