Impact In This Role

As an Account Executive - Emerging Accounts with MISUMI Americas, you will work closely with some of the most exciting companies in the world to help them bring amazing products to market. You will ensure MISUMI Americas fully understands the customer’s requirements, challenges, and priorities to configure the optimal solution to address those requirements while improving their time to market.
You will work on identifying and developing prototyping opportunities and production-class manufacturing programs that allow our customers to develop, launch, and deliver products to market at speeds never before thought possible. Your proven leadership skills will be essential to coordinating the efforts of a highly capable MISUMI Americas team and platform that supports you at every opportunity. You will deliver sales presentations and organize on-site meetings such as Sales meetings, quarterly business reviews, tech days, and other face-to-face meetings to build relationships and account know-how that help you manage and grow customer lifetime value. 
You will develop relationships at every level in an organization, from mechanical engineers to supply chain managers to C-level executives, to build trust and confidence in MISUMI Americas as the “go-to” for all custom manufacturing needs. To enable these motions, you will eagerly engage in sales enablement and training activities to a) learn how to navigate MISUMI Americas and do your job, b) learn our differentiated catalog offerings, and c) continue to learn and enhance your sales capabilities, including how to discover and understand customers more deeply. All of this aims to grow our wallet and mindshare within qualified accounts and hit our business targets. 

You will report to the Sales Director, Emerging Accounts. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create comprehensive account business strategies for assigned key clients within the Business Unit.
  • Drive proactive outbound prospecting to cultivate and sustain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Uncover and close deals spanning rapid prototyping, volume scaling, full production, and multi-year manufacturing agreements.
  • Consistently achieve and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Ensure highly rigorous account pipeline tracking and revenue forecasting in Salesforce.
  • Direct and execute client agreement negotiations from initial draft through final execution.
  • Develop enduring, strategic partnerships with executive stakeholders and primary decision-makers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding the hardware development roadmap, requirements, and pain points of target accounts.
  • Act as an ambassador at key industry conferences, conventions, and networking events.
  • Position MISUMI Americas as the premier digital manufacturing partner for key enterprise accounts.
  • Own customer outcomes end-to-end, cross-functionally mobilizing internal resources to guarantee client success.
  • Domestic travel 10-20% for team meetings, customer meetings, trade shows, and events.
Desired Traits
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years in sales, with focus on account strategy and pipeline growth.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) strongly preferred.
  • Prior background within the manufacturing industry.
  • Consistent history of reaching and surpassing revenue quotas on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proven capability to rapidly generate sales opportunities, manage precise forecasts, and outperform business goals.
  • Advanced skills in agreement negotiation and deal execution.
  • Proficiency with modern sales enablement platforms, CRM systems, automated sequencing, and team collaboration tools.

Physical Demands

Primarily remote/in-office work with extended periods at a computer. The role requires frequent domestic travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, trade shows, and team offsites, including standing, walking plant floors, and occasional lifting of sample parts or demo materials.

Salary Range: $75,000 base and $50,000 variable (uncapped)
