Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.

The role

America's AV Engineering and Operational Lead focuses on the Americas, with AV operations mainly in the US. The role also supports AV design and architecture globally, and global events as needed.

Reporting to the Corporate Builds System Architect, this person combines practical expertise and regional coordination to keep collaboration spaces reliable, deliver successful events, and support office builds and technology upgrades. The role works closely with Corporate Builds, Workplace, IT, Infrastructure, Security, Facilities, and external integrators. It provides a clear regional point of technical ownership while applying global architecture, technology standards, and delivery practices.

Decision-making and accountability

America's AV Engineering and Operational Lead makes day-to-day technical and delivery decisions within approved standards, project scope, budgets, and change processes.

The Corporate Builds System Architect retains ownership of global AV architecture, reference designs, technology strategy, and approval of architectural exceptions. The regional lead develops recommendations and escalates significant design departures, platform changes, and unresolved technical risks.

Key responsibilities

AV operations and service delivery

  • Lead AV operations primarily across US meeting rooms, boardrooms, collaboration spaces, and event facilities.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and coordinate the resolution of complex incidents with local support teams, technology vendors, and integrators.
  • Maintain system readiness through monitoring, preventive maintenance, configuration management, and controlled software and firmware updates.
  • Keep equipment inventories, support documentation, and operational procedures accurate and accessible.
  • Identify recurring problems and deliver practical improvements to reliability, remote support, and the user experience.

Events and production support

  • Lead technical planning and AV delivery for events across the Americas, and support global events as needed.
  • Translate event requirements into practical plans for audio, video, presentation, conferencing, streaming, and recording where required.
  • Coordinate technical resources, external suppliers, rehearsals, testing, and contingency arrangements.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including live troubleshooting.
  • Capture lessons from events and improve repeatable setups, documentation, and delivery practices.

AV design and architecture support

  • Gather requirements and assess AV needs for office builds, room deployments, and upgrades in the Americas and other regions.
  • Develop AV designs, architecture proposals, equipment specifications, bills of materials, and documentation for Americas and global projects using approved standards.
  • Coordinate AV requirements with network, security, electrical, construction, and workplace teams.
  • Contribute to global reference designs and architecture reviews, and review integrator proposals, drawings, and submissions for compliance and supportability.
  • Oversee technical installation quality, commissioning, acceptance testing, and the resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Ensure completed projects include accurate as-built documentation, device management, monitoring, support guidance, and operational handover.

Regional leadership and continuous improvement

  • Act as the primary regional technical contact for AV operations, events, and AV project delivery.
  • Coordinate Americas priorities and global assignments with the Corporate Builds System Architect, balancing US operations, events, and design schedules.
  • Provide technical direction to suppliers and practical guidance to local support teams.
  • Report service trends, project progress, technical risks, and resource constraints.
  • Recommend improvements to global standards and reference designs, and contribute to automation and management initiatives.

Experience and capabilities

  • Substantial hands-on experience supporting and delivering corporate AV and workplace collaboration systems.
  • Demonstrated capability across AV operations, event support, and AV design, with the ability to contribute to architectural design.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across audio, video, conferencing, control systems, and their network dependencies.
  • Ability to produce and review technical drawings, equipment specifications, commissioning records, and support documentation.
  • Experience coordinating integrators, vendors, and internal stakeholders through installation and operational handover.
  • Sound judgment when balancing US operational priorities with Americas commitments and global design and event support.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and recommendations to nontechnical colleagues.

Desirable experience

  • Supporting multiple offices and collaborating across regions and time zones.
  • AV device management, monitoring, scripting, or automation.
  • Relevant AV, networking, control system, or project delivery certifications.
  • Coaching support teams and developing repeatable service and event practices.

What success looks like

  • Reliable AV services, with operations mainly focused on the US.
  • Well-prepared Americas events and effective global event support when required.
  • AV designs and architecture contributions supporting Americas and global projects.
  • Complete documentation, commissioning evidence, and operational handovers.
  • Fewer recurring technical issues and measurable improvements in service quality.
  • Strong Americas and global relationships, with timely escalation of risks and decisions.
