About The Role 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support the development of a new AI product. In this role, you will work with clients to observe, document, and analyze their processes end-to-end, then translate those findings into clear, actionable insights for the Product team. You will serve as the critical bridge between real-world client workflows and the product requirements that will shape our next-generation solution. 

Responsibilities 

  • Conduct discovery sessions, observing and documenting specific data processing workflows from invoice receipt through resolution. 
  • Analyze client data administration processes to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and gaps in current tools and workflows. 
  • Use SQL to query and validate client data, supporting deeper analysis of data volumes, aging, dispute rates, and resolution patterns. 
  • Compile and present structured findings from client engagements back to the Product team, including process maps, gap analyses, and prioritized feature recommendations. 
  • Develop detailed process documentation, workflow diagrams, and use case narratives that inform product specifications 
  • Partner with Product Managers to translate client insights into clear, actionable requirements and functional specifications throughout the product development lifecycle. 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships during engagements, ensuring a consultative and professional experience throughout each discovery project. 
  • Contribute to defining success metrics, validation criteria, and acceptance standards for new features as they move through development. 
  • Provide clarification on system behavior and expected functionality to internal teams. 
  • Assist the Product Manager with requirements clarification, functional documentation, and refinement of specifications as needed. 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience. 
  • 0-2 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, functional consultant, or related role, ideally within a SaaS or CPG/trade finance environment. 
  • Proficiency with SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets 
  • Demonstrated experience conducting client-facing discovery, process analysis, or requirements gathering engagements. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex operational processes into structured, communicable findings. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with comfort presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments. 
  • Familiarity with APIs, data structures, or system integrations. 
  • Experience with BI or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). 
  • Experience using issue tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
