Job Description SummaryResponsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site. The Close Out Site Manager will lead and execute the final phase of an EPC Project, ensuring seamless and timely closure of all site activities for both EPC packages. This role is responsible for implementing the site close-out plan, maintaining strict EHS and quality standards, and coordinating with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors to resolve pending works. Key duties include punch point closure, handover of mandatory spares, completion of material reconciliation, preparation and submission of SWCF and other documents, and managing financial close-out. The role also oversees site clearing, scrap disposal, demobilization, and submission of final reports and close-out documentation to achieve complete, compliant project closure.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Execution Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive site close-out execution plan for both EPC projects.
  • Drive timely completion of all remaining site activities, ensuring adherence to schedule and project goals.
  • Lead the punch point resolution process and ensure full closure of open items.
  • Oversee site clearing, scrap management, demobilization, and final resource optimization.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and submit all required close-out documentation, including SWCF, completion dossiers, and final reports.
  • Support financial close-out by coordinating with commercial teams for settlement with customer and subcontractors.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams—Project Management, Engineering, Quality, EHS, SCM, and Commissioning—for streamlined close-out execution.
  • Serve as the site focal point for all close-out discussions and communication with the customer.
  • Ensure timely resolution of pending issues with customer and subcontractors to avoid delays.
  • Manage the handover of mandatory spares and ensure closure of material reconciliation with SCM and customer.

 

Safety, Quality, and Compliance

  • Enforce strict EHS compliance across all close-out activities, ensuring safe practices and zero incidents.
  • Maintain adherence to project quality requirements, inspection protocols, and documentation standards.
  • Review and validate final quality records, certificates, and regulatory compliance documents.
  • Coordinate and support audits, customer inspections, and verification activities needed for final acceptance.

 

Construction & Commissioning Handover

  • Work closely with construction and commissioning teams to close punch lists and finalize system handovers.
  • Verify and document completion of construction, commissioning, and performance requirements.
  • Ensure proper submission and approval of work completion certificates and system readiness documentation.
  • Facilitate technical and site walkthroughs essential for customer acceptance of systems and packages.

 

People & Process Leadership

  • Lead the site close-out team, allocate responsibilities, and monitor performance for effective execution.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to internal workflows for documentation, material reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Capture and share lessons learned to strengthen future project close-out processes.

Required Qualification/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil or related field) from an accredited university or college
  • 10-12 years of overall experience with min 5 years in power plant EPC project execution and commissioning.
