Role Overview

A Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) (Or Staff Integration Engineer) embeds directly with clients to deploy, customize, and troubleshoot our platform in their environment — the engineer who shows up when a bank is going live on our platform and things need to actually work, live, in front of that client. You'll spend approximately 15–25% of your time client-facing on average across a year, with bursts to 40–50% during high-stakes windows like cutover (when a client's systems go live on our platform) or bank-audit windows (when a banking client is under regulatory examination and needs hands-on engineering support).

What You'll Do

  • Build integrations that scale across custodians — the institutions that hold and safeguard a client's assets — designing connective tissue between Wealth's platform and custodian systems that is reusable across your whole client base rather than one-off per client.

  • Apply deep security and systems expertise to integrations with external financial institutions, reasoning carefully about what is secure and what isn't.

  • Operate with calm precision in regulated and adversarial technical rooms — bank compliance reviews, security audits, and other high-scrutiny environments where things can get tense and mistakes are expensive.

  • Maintain operational rigor around deployment, credential and key rotation, and incident response — the unglamorous but critical ops discipline that keeps a live financial integration from breaking silently.

  • Embed with clients during peak deployment windows to ensure our platform works reliably in their production environment.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills under pressure in front of clients, not just the ability to solve problems alone at a desk.

  • Deep expertise in systems integration, financial services infrastructure, or comparable domain knowledge.

  • Demonstrated ability to reason about security in the context of external system integrations and regulatory compliance.

  • Operational discipline and attention to detail in high-stakes deployment and incident response scenarios.

  • Comfort operating in regulated environments and working collaboratively with banking clients and compliance teams.

Benefits & Perks

  • Hybrid work arrangement in New York City (3x a week)

  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance options, with low-cost premium structures that demonstrate our commitment to offering great value to our employees.

  • 100% company-paid basic life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance.

  • 100% paid parental leave upon eligibility.

  • Company equity managed through Carta.

  • 401k with match and 100% vesting upon hire.

  • Flexible PTO in an environment where taking time off to relax or recharge is supported and encouraged.

  • Take time off for holidays—and yes, your birthday counts too. Celebrate, relax, and recharge without thinking twice.

  • Free estate planning for life!

Wealth is an equal opportunity employer and encourages people from all backgrounds to apply. Should you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know.
