Founded in 2019, Flex is an early stage NYC-based FinTech startup that is building the infrastructure to enable flexible bill payments for all Americans, starting with a very common and very large expense: rent. Flex enables its users to pay their rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances, rather than paying the full amount on the first of each month. We're scaling up and excited to add a second technical recruiter to our growing team. We've tripled in size over the past 10 months and expect to nearly double by the end of 2021. In this role, you will initially partner with our VP of Engineering and engineers to attract and engage with top talent while contributing to an exceptional candidate experience for each candidate throughout the process. As we grow, you will also be partnering with our VP of Analytics and Chief Product Officer to hire top talent within their teams, as well.

What you'll do

• Partner with hiring teams across engineering, analytics, and product to engage and present highly qualified candidates quickly
• Source and engage with top technical talent while building long-term relationships with candidates
• Take initiative and create job descriptions with hiring managers by understanding the required skills and background, the impact of the role, and the ideal fit to the team and company
• Manage pipeline activity, maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders
• Build and implement creative diversity and inclusion hiring strategies

Who you are

• Embody high levels of empathy, self awareness, curiosity, and low ego
• Strong technical recruiting background and ability to calibrate quickly while ensuring a great candidate experience
• Experience hiring for high growth technical teams
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Proven track record of engaging passive candidates and building relationships with talent across diverse networks and communities
• Clear communication, structured thinking, highly organized and ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
