The Opportunity

Parsley Health is looking to hire a VP, People and Culture to grow and lead our seven and growing person People organization that attracts, recruits, develops, retains, and rewards an engaged, high-performing, and mission-driven distributed company.  Our People function is a well-respected, forward thinking, strategic influence at the company that champions our team’s wellbeing. 

You will own all areas of Parsley’s People strategy including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Performance, Team Engagement, Culture & Work Environment, Total Employee Rewards, DE&I and Employee Relations. You will serve as a key member of Parsley’s Executive team, helping to set overall company strategy and creating inspirational and data-driven People strategy, policies and processes that are both within the law and have our people and business’s best interest at heart.

This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities

  • As a key executive, help steward this growing company by contributing to strategy and overall company leadership. This is your “first team” that you contribute to and prioritize as we build the company   
  • Develop and implement the People and Culture Team strategy to support Parsley’s mission and business objectives
  • Help develop and evolve a work environment and culture where people are engaged and able to perform to the best of their abilities, regardless of location
  • Continuously elevate our performance management practices including talent reviews, leveling, and promotion frameworks. Drive our quarterly 9-boxing calibration and manager accountability process 
  • Evaluate employee engagement and other people data, lead discussions and data-driven actions for continuous improvement
  • Oversee employee relations and support organizational change. Own onboarding and support termination decisions and processes
  • Oversee a high performing talent acquisition team that provides best in class candidate experiences and yields high quality hires     
  • Partner with our Compensation Committee to lead bi-annual compensation changes. Work with CFO on establishing bonus or incentive models
  • Design and implement long-term Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices including company communications/representation, recruiting, training, and compensation/promotion areas
  • Own company communications by designing and delivering a cohesive professionally produced suite of communications to our all colleagues on a regular cadence
  • Attract and hire strong talent that serves Parsley’s evolving organizational needs

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience driving, building and scaling multi-location teams for high-performing companies 
  • Demonstrated success in scaling a company from 100 to 300+ employees, successfully building frameworks and systems that meet the needs of a fast-paced, growing team
  • 5+ years experience successfully coaching leaders up to the VP or C-suite levels
  • 5+ years experience leading a People & Culture function, including people operations and talent acquisition
  • Clear vision and tactical plan for how to build and scale essential systems and processes around recruiting/hiring/on-boarding/performance management/career pathing/culture, with ability to hit the ground running and implement/improve systems efficiently 
  • Demonstrated functional competence across all areas of HR, including organizational design, talent and performance management, total rewards, employee relations, HR compliance, change management, and strategic workforce planning
  • Ideally prior experience sitting on a management / executive team
  • Ideally prior experience with high-growth technology or consumer company, or in a highly regulated environment like healthcare
  • Ideally prior experience overseeing successful transition off PEO
