The Vice President of Talent responsibilities includes monitoring recruitment procedures, from sourcing to hiring, managing a team of recruiters and identifying high-potential candidates. Reporting to the CEO, this individual will lead talent acquisition and retention strategy and execution, candidate sourcing and engagement, stakeholder engagement and management, talent market intelligence and analytics, brand building, process improvement, infrastructure development and growing the capabilities and efficiencies of the talent acquisition team while creating a talent retention partnership model. If you have previous experience in a senior recruiting position and know how to build a strong employer brand, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will help us grow our teams with qualified employees and achieve our business goals. The vice president’s primary goal to create a world-class talent team at prescriptive data. 

The ideal candidate has professional experience in real estate and technology and is excited by complex, open-ended, and real-world building challenges. The role will be based out of New York City and requires traveling locally on a regular basis. 

Responsibilities

  • Building talent pipelines for current and future job openings
  • Leading all sourcing strategies
  • Managing our external partnerships with colleges, job boards, and HR software vendors
  • Identifying an organization’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance
  • Implement online and offline employer branding activities
  • Prepare and review our annual recruitment budget
  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews, and communication)Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans
  • Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our company
  • Develop a network of potential future hires (e.g. past applicants and referred candidates)Measure key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and time-to-hire
  • Organizing and overseeing individual and team training programs
  • Developing and implementing employee retention programs or strategies
  • Understanding workforce planning and resource forecasting
  • Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce
  • Understanding the current recruitment trends and your organization’s markets to identify the impact upon the business
  • Anticipating the organizations future and working with senior executives to advise on recruiting tactics that will help to sustain the company’s success Developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the business
  • Monitoring and reporting on staff turnover rates Managing and delivering reports and data when required
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Director or similar role
  • Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives
  • Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. social networks)Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and HR databases
  • Good team-management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates)Ability to be strategic and tactical when making decisions
  • Great interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Analytical and able to interpret data Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others

Education

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience

  • Talent Acquisition: 10 years (Preferred)
