Job Title: Marketing Data Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing Data Analyst with 1–3 years of experience to support marketing and sales within a financial services environment. This role will analyze marketing tactics and generate actionable insights to improve efficiency and reach of customer acquisition & retention strategies. You will be working with large datasets to optimize media performance, identify audience segments for targeting, and enhance customer lifecycle
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze performance across marketing channels (direct mail, email, digital, social) and generate insights to improve customer acquisition & retention.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, merge, clean, and validate large datasets to support accurate reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track marketing KPIs, pipeline impact, and ROI across multiple marketing channels.
- Design and measure A/B tests, lift studies, and cohort analysis to measure the effectiveness of new marketing tactics.
- Partner with key stakeholders to define KPIs, develop analytical approaches, and deliver actionable insights for business needs.
- Monitor and maintain data accuracy across CRM, analytics, and marketing platforms.
- Document data logic, assumptions, and metric definitions to support consistency and scalability of analytics efforts
General Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, revenue analysis, or related marketing analytics role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL to query and analyze data (e.g., SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY).
- Experience with reporting & analytics in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including pivots, lookup functions, charts, and intermediate to advanced formulas.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
Nice to Haves
- Proficiency in Python, R or another coding language with experience using statistical packages to analyze data.
- Experience using Digital Ads platforms (Google Ads, TradeDesk, Meta Ads) for reporting & performance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with common Marketing tech/services (i.e. Salesforce, LiveRamp, Google Analytics)
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Experience with media-mix or multi-touch attribution models.
