The Role:

You are responsible for promoting and consultatively selling the AlphaSense platform to Investor Relations (IR) professionals. AlphaSense search streamlines the IR workflow, delivering critical insights and significant time savings to help our clients run more effective Investor Relations programs. As an Account Executive, you will identify and build meaningful relationships with corporate executives at new client prospects across a broad range of industries and cities. You will develop and execute a sales strategy in close collaboration with customer success, product management, and technology teams to provide a world class customer experience.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition within your assigned territory
  • Build and maintain healthy pipeline of new opportunities through a focused approach to daily sales activity
  • Diagnose prospect need and effectively communicate AlphaSense value proposition
  • Provide consultative product demonstrations and form relationships with key stakeholders throughout the sales process
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing
  • Develop industry specific knowledge necessary to have credible diagnostic conversations
  • Stay current with industry news and issues to understand the potential impact to client prospects

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B consultative sales with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and new client acquisition
  • Superior ability to develop rapport with new people, and to maintain relationships
  • Confidence in cold calling and interacting with C-Level executives over the phone and in person
  • Motivated by actively seeking new opportunities rather than exploiting existing business
  • Substantial experience working with Corporations or Financial Services organizations in a client service, sales or product support role
  • Prior experience working with Investor Relations professionals and knowledge of financial markets is preferred
  • Highly motivated pro-active individuals who thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture and want to be recognized for their achievements in the company’s success
  • Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Natural ability delivering product demonstrations
  • Encouraged by an innovative environment and adaptive to constant change
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and manage deadlines with a high degree of perseverance in a result orientated setting
  • Proven analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of utilizing CRM software to track sales opportunities and customer activity, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. CFA or MBA designations are a plus
