What this role is about:
RapidSOS is looking for a Director of Strategic Partnerships who is a detail-oriented and resourceful team player to expand the company’s strategic relationship program. You’ll use your entrepreneurial, project management, and business development background to scale our most important and strategic customers. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact on the growth of existing product lines and co-creation with partners of new products and services. The ideal candidate will have a drive and a passion to grow deep partner relationships.
What you’ll do:
Source, develop and manage partnerships to accelerate execution of company strategy
Structure and negotiate contractual agreements with strategic partners
Project manage implementations of new customers by coordinating with partners and internal teams - product management, engineering, sales and marketing teams - to meet contractual launch and feature milestones
Develop senior level (C-suite, VP, Director) relationships across our most important partners
Manage strategic accounts, including day-to-day requests from existing partners, as well as any weekly or monthly check-ins to ensure their business outcomes are achieved
Translate product asks and business needs into agreement and knowledge of non-standard agreements.
Travel approximately 25% (post-COVID) to meet with partners and development of relationships with primary partner contacts
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
6 years of relevant experience in Business Development, Product Management, Sales Account Management, or Relationship Management of major accounts
Excellent professional relationship-building, leadership, planning, management, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to grow accounts at senior levels within partner organizations
Experience initiating and developing new business opportunities, executing deals and working with external partners
Experience translating Product and Engineering asks into Business terms
The ability to negotiate with internal and external colleagues
Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to make great decisions using both data and instinct
Self-starter with a drive to succeed and deliver results
Team player with high emotional quotient
