Your Role 

As Summer’s first full-time Strategic Account Manager, you will build strategic, long-lasting client partnerships while helping to grow the community of borrowers we support. This is a high-impact, visible role in which you’ll bridge internal and external stakeholders as the face of our brand and community.

As Summer’s Strategic Account Manager, you will: 

  • Own all customer relationships, regularly communicating with key client stakeholders to ensure alignment between their goals and Summer’s
  • Serve as a client advocate, working creatively with the Summer product team to bring client feedback to life through new features and offerings
  • Implement and improve the workflow for onboarding new clients, which include large financial institutions and employers
  • Prioritize needs across clients to ensure client deliverables are progressing on schedule
  • Partner with clients on conversion improvements to reach as many borrowers as possible
  • Retain and grow client relationships alongside the Summer sales team
  • Highlight client stories through content collaborations and other marketing opportunities


Recommended Experience

We are seeking an experienced strategic account manager that:

  • Is passionate about building efficient systems and driven by results
  • Thrives on developing productive relationships across multiple stakeholders with warmth, maturity, and professionalism
  • Has a history of leading successful projects with measurable and timely results that impact on the bottom line of your organization
  • Has experience with SaaS or financial services companies. Bonus points for familiarity with APIs and/or experience partnering with clients on conversion improvements
  • Is excited by the opportunity to proactively scale our mission and build a sustainable brand by cultivating relationships with early champions
  • Has 3+ years of related experience in account management or customer success, ideally working with enterprise clients
