Our client is a cloud infrastructure software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Write production code while establishing a security practice from the ground up. - Encourage sound security habits across a compact, flat engineering team.

- Design and release security capabilities that external users can rely on.

- Write production Go code that strengthens infrastructure running across several cloud providers and container orchestration environments.

- Take full ownership of cloud and container protection, covering access controls, network defenses, credential handling, isolation between workloads and audit logging.

- Partner with technical security staff at client organizations to understand their needs, earn confidence and make sure the platform satisfies their standards.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Currently ships production application code as a software engineer, rather than working mainly in infrastructure operations.

- Practical experience securing cloud and container environments, including identity and access controls, orchestration platforms, logging and credential management.

- Application security background, including user authentication and authorization, vulnerability research and secure coding practices.

- Proficiency in Go.

- Experience working with more than one major cloud provider.

- History of building or contributing to core infrastructure at a cloud platform business, or at a company known for a very high engineering bar.

Bonus points

- Prior experience as an early security hire or as an engineer building security features for external users.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a comparable technical field.
