About Akkio

Akkio is the AI infrastructure that powers agentic workflows across media companies. By running on-premises within agency cloud environments and sitting directly on top of data, Akkio enables organizations to productionize AI at enterprise scale, automating campaign workflows while maintaining complete security and governance control.

Our approach already powers some of the biggest names in media. Havas is building agentic AI into Converged.AI, its global operating system, in partnership with Akkio. Horizon Media strengthened its blu. platform with Akkio. Mediaplus built Plus.AI, its global AI media planning system, on our infrastructure. LG Ad Solutions uses Akkio to unlock real-time intelligence from ACR data.

We're a small, fast-growing team, and every person here shapes what media's biggest players do next.

How we build

We build with AI the way we expect our partners to run on it: aggressively, thoughtfully, and in production. Agentic coding is foundational to how our engineering team works, and that extends to product. PMs here don't stop at documents: they use AI throughout their workflow and build working prototypes with agentic coding tools to make ideas concrete, pressure-test them with customers, and hand engineering something running rather than something written.

If you already work this way, turning a customer conversation into a clickable prototype in an afternoon, you'll feel at home. If you're still evaluating whether AI tools belong in a PM's daily work, this probably isn't the right role.

The opportunity

As a Senior Product Manager at Akkio, you'll sit at the intersection of frontier AI technology and media agency transformation — working directly with industry leaders to reshape how agencies operate in the AI era. You'll split your time between collaborating with our engineering and design teams and working directly with customers to deeply understand their workflows. This isn't just about building features: you'll build on our vision for how AI can transform agency operations and carry it from concept to market adoption, leading brainstorming sessions with senior agency leaders, demoing new capabilities, and guiding product development with both strategic insight and hands-on execution.

This role is built for owners. Product direction at a fast-moving AI startup is rarely fully defined and often shifts as we learn from customers. We're looking for someone who treats that as the fun part: someone who takes a partially-shaped problem, drives it to a well-shaped product direction, and ships great products without waiting for certainty. Your judgment will directly shape what Akkio builds next.

What you'll do
  • Discover and define: deeply understand common workflows and jobs-to-be-done within media agencies, identifying opportunities where AI can create transformational value

  • Prototype with AI: use agentic coding tools to turn ideas into working demos, validating direction with customers and engineering before a line of production code is written

  • Translate vision into reality: convert customer insights into clear product requirements and running prototypes for our engineering and design teams

  • Lead product development: set direction and guide cross-functional teams through the product creation process, course-correcting as solutions come to life

  • Engage with customers: present and demo solutions to senior agency leaders, gathering feedback and building relationships that inform product strategy

  • Make decisive calls: use your product instinct to recognize strong versus weak product directions quickly and set the right course forward

  • Build credibility: earn the trust of both world-class engineers internally and C-level stakeholders externally through your technical depth and leadership presence

Who you are
  • Proven product leadership: a track record of shipping impressive software products, with roles of increasing responsibility

  • You've deeply integrated AI into your daily workflow; you use it for research synthesis, analysis, drafting, and prototyping, and you can build a working demo with agentic coding tools without waiting on an engineer

  • You thrive on ownership: you've repeatedly taken loosely defined or shifting priorities and delivered great products anyway, filling gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction

  • Technical foundation: a CS, Engineering, or Design background, and the credibility to lead teams of software engineers and designers in building great products

  • Domain expertise: experience in AI startups or AdTech product companies, with knowledge of AI technology or media agency operations strongly preferred

  • Strong product instinct: you immediately recognize good versus bad product decisions, think fast on your feet, and set direction rather than just relay information

  • Executive presence: you command the room with senior leaders, keeping pace with (and ideally leading) strategic conversations and demos

  • Travel flexibility: willing to spend significant time in NYC working directly with customers

Bonus points
  • Public artifacts of your AI-native workflow: prototypes you've shipped with agentic coding tools, published MCP servers, or writing about how you work with AI

  • Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered products: agent experiences, evals, or AI-native workflow tools

  • Direct experience with media agency operations, programmatic advertising, or marketing analytics

  • Previous early-stage startup experience

Why you'll love working here

Build at the frontier. You'll work on a team that's genuinely all-in on agentic development, with the tools, budget, and encouragement to push what's possible with AI. What most companies call an experiment, we call Tuesday. You'll get better at this craft faster here than almost anywhere.

Ride real acceleration. Akkio is a well-funded startup in a rapidly accelerating phase with major enterprise partners in production, expanding global deployments, and a market that's moving toward us. Joining now means real ownership of outcomes and real upside: substantial equity, outsized scope, and a direct line from your work to company results.

Work with an exceptional team. Our team is small and accomplished, composed of people who've built and scaled products at top companies and chose to do the ambitious thing here. Our culture is built around shared wins: high trust, low ego, and the expectation that everyone operates like an owner.

Additional information
  • Location: Akkio is a fully remote company, but you must be willing to spend significant customer-facing time in New York City.

  • Compensation: Competitive salary range depending on experience, plus substantial equity grants

  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plan; generous PTO policy

  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US

Akkio is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, and we believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.

To all recruitment agencies: Akkio does not accept agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias or Akkio employees. Akkio is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
