Position Summary:

The Social Media Specialist supports the firm’s digital presence across key social media channels, with a focus on LinkedIn and Instagram. This role combines strong writing, an eye for branding and visual content creation and a data-informed approach, including the ability to translate complex legal and business topics into accessible content for clients, legal professionals and broader audiences. The Social Media Specialist serves as a key contributor to the firm’s digital media initiatives that support the firm’s brand, reputation, thought leadership and business development objectives. The Social Media Specialist will work closely with colleagues across digital marketing, communications, design, brand, business development and lawyers worldwide.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit and publish social content tailored to LinkedIn and Instagram, ensuring all posts are aligned with the firm’s voice, tone and brand standards.
  • Translate complex legal and business topics into clear, concise posts and short-form copy that resonate with varied audiences.
  • Contribute to the development and management of the firm’s social media editorial calendar, including tracking deadlines, inputs and approvals.
  • Collaborate with the brand content team to develop and execute storytelling messages and content ideas, bringing the firm’s brand narrative to life through social media features and campaign concepts. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to generate content ideas.
  • Design social media graphics using Adobe Express templates, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines across all visual content. Liaise with the design studio on bespoke graphic and video needs.
  • Advise lawyers’ on social media best practices, content positioning and platform-specific engagement strategies for their personal accounts.
  • Track and report on performance metrics and analyze trends and recommend content, audience engagement and channel optimization strategies based on results.
  • Monitor platform trends and competitor activity and identify and recommend opportunities to enhance the firm’s social media presence, visibility and engagement.
  • Engage with social listening tools to potentially flag any firm news to wider teams.
  • Research emerging technologies, digital communications trends, platform developments and competitive activity and recommend opportunities to improve the firm's social communications strategy.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least four years of relevant experience supporting social media content and publishing, preferably in a professional services or regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing LinkedIn and Instagram content; familiarity with additional platforms a plus.

 Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly in short formats.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment, including accuracy, confidentiality and brand consistency.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and provide consultative guidance regarding content strategy, social media communications and audience engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate data, trends and audience insights to inform recommendations and decision-making.
  • Collaborative working style and the ability to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with social media publishing and scheduling tools and basic content workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Express or similar template-based design tools for producing on-brand social media visuals.
The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
