Position Summary:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the Equities Electronic Execution (eTrading) Support team within the AMRS region. The position is responsible for delivering and maintaining highly available, low-latency trading platforms that support algorithmic and high-touch execution across global equities markets. The leader will oversee production stability, incident management, and continuous improvement of core electronic trading capabilities, ensuring reliable client execution and market access.
The role requires close partnership with global technology teams, trading desks, and infrastructure partners to drive platform resilience, market data integrity, and execution performance across the trading stack.
Key Responsibilities:
-Own the end-to-end production support for Equities electronic trading platforms, including algo execution, DMA/DSA flows, and market data integration
-Execute the technology roadmap for Equities eTrading in alignment with global execution strategy and regional business priorities
-Lead a high-performing support organization responsible for stability, incident response, and continuous service improvement
-Provide hands-on oversight of major incidents, driving rapid triage, resolution, and clear communication to senior stakeholders
-Partner closely with trading desks to ensure execution quality, reliability, and performance across all electronic trading channels
-Drive initiatives to improve platform resilience, observability, and automation (e.g., monitoring, synthetic testing, failover readiness)
-Act as a key technology partner to senior business leadership, providing transparency on production health, risk, and prioritization
-Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and operational risk frameworks, with a focus on trading continuity and control effectiveness
-Collaborate with development teams to close production gaps, improve release quality, and strengthen change management discipline
Required Qualifications:
-12+ years of experience supporting Equities electronic trading platforms in a production or engineering role
-Deep technical understanding of:
- Electronic execution workflows (DMA, algos, smart routing)
- FIX protocol and order lifecycle management
- Market data feeds, order book processing, and exchange connectivity
-Proven experience managing production incidents in a time-critical trading environment
-Strong technical leadership with the ability to balance hands-on problem solving and strategic direction
Desired Qualifications:
-Proven track record supporting mission-critical trading platforms with high availability requirements
-Experience driving stability programs, post-incident remediation, and control improvements
-Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior trading and technology leadership
-Experience with observability tooling (e.g., Dynatrace, synthetic monitoring, KPIs) and data-driven stability improvements
-Demonstrated ability to lead teams through operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
