We are seeking a Vice President with strong CMBS rating agency expertise and relationships to join a leading commercial real estate lending platform. While the position is focused on supporting CMBS conduit and large loan execution, we recognize the strong analytical foundation developed within rating agency expertise and are looking for professionals who can apply that experience across a broad range of commercial real estate lending opportunities.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading rating agency haircut calls, reviewing agency feedback both at loan and pool levels, and generally be across the agency execution front for loans in closing. The candidate will be working closely with the Primary Trading Desk, as well as the Head of Conduit Underwriting.
Given our client's unique culture and structure, candidates will be exposed to the full breadth of conduit loans in closing, pricing, capital markets and other activities in commercial real estate lending and securitization.

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze  commercial real estate conduit and large loans across multiple property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hospitality, data center, and mixed-use assets.
• Intimate knowledge of all loans in closing to lead rating agency calls.
• Primary point of contact between lender and rating agency counterparts.
• Real-time understanding of all rating agency criteria and obtaining and disseminating any changes or modifications to criteria.
• Proactive review of agency feedback across all CMBS transactions in the market, including specific loan-level treatment.
• Assist the Primary Trading Desk in analyzing and modeling conduit pool level feedback.
• Partner with the Primary Trading Desk, underwriters and originators to manage expectations around loan pricing treatment and execution.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of commercial real estate rating agency, lending, underwriting, or credit experience.
• Current or prior experience at a primary rating agency preferred
• Transferrable strong working relationships with rating agencies
• Excellent understanding of rating agency standards, criteria, cash flow assumptions, specific nuances and unique treatment.
• Experience in reviewing underwriting and credit for all property types across commercial real estate through an Agency, bank, life company, debt fund, or CMBS platform.
• Experience in analyzing and modeling agency feedback at both a loan and pool level for conduit, as well as large loan feedback.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex transactions and make thoughtful approaches to rating agency treatment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel®, Word®.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$210,000.00 - $265,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
