Amplify's Human Resources team is looking for a Vice President, Talent Development to lead and build a culture of continuous learning in a growth-oriented organization.The Vice President, reporting to the head of HR will direct the execution of a Talent Development strategy that will ensure employees have access to tools that drive growth, improve and add new skills, and accelerate career progression.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a track record of developing and implementing short-term, and longer-term learning and development strategies that align employee goals and performance with our strategic organizational mission and business priorities.
This highly visible role will collaborate with People Managers, HR Business Partners, the Total Rewards/HR Operations team, and Executive Leadership to identify learning needs and support the design of an organization-wide strategy that centers those needs, as well as career growth and ongoing development.

  • You are an expert at designing and implementing systems and processes that scale. You have a track record of going from "scrappy" to "scaled." You are extraordinary at driving efficient, repeatable processes that generate consistent results. You are a systems thinker and easily connect the dots between need and technological solutions. You love continuously improving and will do what it takes to get the job done while simultaneously figuring out ways to automate, reduce friction, and increase quality.
  • You're a strong collaborator and communicator. You proactively build cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the company. You are effective at driving outcomes and change even without direct authority. You can lead and drive communication efforts to ensure that managers and employees understand the company talent philosophy and programs.
  • You love measuring impact and managing ambitious goals. You're effective at setting clear goals and measuring the impact of initiatives - whether it's about driving accuracy, time savings, or customer delight.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of learning leadership and management experience in dynamically challenging roles.
  • Proven track record leading all aspects of Talent Development including but not limited to leadership development, critical skills development, career mapping, and succession planning.
  • Prior experience leading Learning and Development or key functions within that team in 1,000+ employee organizations
  • Prior experience identifying, selecting, implementing, and operating learning platforms; Workday experience a plus


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exhibited consultative style with confirmed experience supporting senior business leaders, including demonstrated ability to lead discussions with senior business leaders
  • Proven ability to work on complex HR problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors including legal regulations, company culture, and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with flexibility and demonstrated organization
  • Proven verbal and written communication abilities with the demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues
