Analyze payment fraud data using SQL and dashboards, identify anomalous behavior and risk trends, evaluate fraud controls, and recommend improvements. Present findings to leadership and collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Risk Analytics teams. The intern will also document risk processes and responsibly use generative AI to improve workflow efficiency and quality.

Analyze People data to identify trends and actionable leadership insights, streamline reporting, build spreadsheets and dashboards, and prototype AI-driven automations for reports, anomaly detection, and data-quality checks. The intern will partner with stakeholders to improve self-service reporting and create executive presentations that communicate findings clearly. This is a 12-week summer 2027 internship.

Own fraud detection and mitigation for ACH payments: design controls, run investigations, analyze performance (precision/recall, financial impact), and partner with Product, Data Science, Risk ML, and Engineering to operationalize risk strategies and transition to model-driven controls.

Architect, build, and operate low-latency market data systems, including feed handlers, normalization, distribution, and exchange connectivity. Design high-throughput infrastructure for real-time trading data, improve reliability and performance, participate in observability, on-call, and incident response, and deliver well-tested features end to end. Partner with engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders while leading a lean, high-impact team.

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data models and pipelines to support CX operations, compliance reporting, and customer insights. Create dashboards and metrics, enforce data quality and governance, automate recurring workflows, and partner with stakeholders and broader data teams to deliver self-serve analytics solutions.

Build and own end-to-end compliance data pipelines and models (case, alert, entity, transaction, risk features). Ensure data quality, monitoring, lineage, and audit-ready documentation. Partner with Compliance and engineering to close upstream gaps, improve detection signal quality, and implement measurement frameworks and reporting for control effectiveness.

Lead architecture, systems, and roadmap for Coinbase's Compliance Reporting Data Platform. Design and build production-grade data models, pipelines, quality frameworks, validations, and certification processes. Establish data contracts, monitoring, reconciliation, and audit-ready processes. Partner with engineering and compliance stakeholders, respond to regulatory exams, and mentor engineers while shaping standards and documentation.
