The role advises on consumer lending products, performs legal risk assessments, supports regulator and customer inquiries, develops compliance resources and policies, and manages legal projects. Candidates need at least three years of legal experience, including two years at a law firm, strong transactional experience, consumer financial services knowledge, and a law license in good standing.

Serve as in-house counsel and regulatory subject matter expert for consumer and small business lending. Advise on product development, legal risk, compliance, operational risk, customer and regulator inquiries, policies, procedures, and commercial contracts. Lead legal and compliance projects while collaborating with compliance, customer service, business development, merchants, and vendors. The role supports a growing fintech lending platform and reports to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.

Lead onboarding and ongoing account management for a portfolio of merchant clients, driving performance, satisfaction, and growth. Act as primary client liaison, coordinate cross-functional teams, analyze performance data, present business reviews, ensure contractual and compliance obligations, resolve operational issues, and deliver strategic improvements.
