Responsibilities include modernizing a monolith, establishing service, API, data, security, testing, and observability standards, guiding Go and Kubernetes practices, supporting Rust adoption, participating in incident response, mentoring engineers, reducing technical debt, and advancing AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Lead sales enablement for GitLab’s Public Sector business across Federal, State, Local, and Education markets. Advise U.S. government customers on GitLab’s DevSecOps platform throughout the presales cycle. Responsibilities include technical demos, presentations, workshops, proof-of-concept and proof-of-value delivery, proposal and audit support, solution design, customer success planning, stakeholder relationship building, value stream assessments, and communicating customer feedback to internal teams.

Advises U.S. government customers on GitLab’s DevSecOps platform throughout the sales cycle. Leads technical evaluations, tailored demos, workshops, proofs of concept and value, proposal input, and deployment handoffs. Partners with sales and cross-functional teams to develop account strategies, build customer relationships, conduct value stream assessments, and communicate customer feedback internally. Requires technical pre-sales or consulting experience, GitLab and DevSecOps knowledge, cloud experience, and strong communication skills.

Provides executive-level technical advisory and pre-sales guidance to public sector customers on DevSecOps, application security, compliance, cloud platforms, and secure software delivery. Builds relationships with technology and security leaders, delivers thought leadership, supports government publications and standards discussions, partners with sales, marketing, and product teams, and translates field feedback into strategy, enablement, and technical content. This is a remote individual contributor role without direct people management responsibilities.

Design, build, operate, and scale GitLab Orbit backend services in Rust across distributed cloud-native environments. Improve Kubernetes deployments, infrastructure automation, observability, reliability, incident readiness, multi-tenant isolation, data workflows, graph query capabilities, indexing pipelines, cloud storage integrations, and API/MCP surfaces. Own technical designs through rollout while collaborating asynchronously with infrastructure, security, AI, data, delivery, and SRE teams.

Leads GitLab’s Agentic Software Delivery product section across continuous integration, artifact management, continuous deployment, and observability. Owns three-year strategy, product vision, business outcomes, adoption, retention, revenue, investment decisions, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market execution. Manages senior and principal product managers, partners with Engineering and commercial teams, and guides customers toward AI-powered software delivery. Requires strong technical fluency in DevOps, executive communication, portfolio leadership, and experience with AI-native product management.

Support the CFO through complex calendar and inbox management, executive communications, planning, meeting preparation, follow-up tracking, travel and expense coordination. Own Office of the CFO operating rhythms, improve processes, maintain accountability, coordinate cross-functional logistics, and build trusted relationships while handling sensitive information. The role requires regular in-person availability in San Francisco and effective use of collaboration and AI productivity tools.
