The Sales Engineer I will assist the Global Sales Team with technical inquiries, conduct technical trials, manage product content, and support customer communications to ensure success in implementing Samsara's IoT solutions.

Lead GTM business operations for Commercial and Mid-market segments: set strategy, advise sales leaders, own planning/forecasting, run cross-functional strategic projects, generate analytics and AI-driven insights, hire and lead a high-performing team.

Lead the Platform Firmware team at Samsara, driving hardware program execution, managing firmware engineers, and collaborating with various stakeholders for high-quality hardware delivery.

Lead enterprise customer implementations of Samsaras IoT platform, manage deployment plans, run trainings, track adoption and account health, coordinate cross-functionally, mentor teams, and ensure customers realize value and renewals.

Own technically complex, mission-critical areas and define technical strategy for new products. Design and ship full‑stack, AI‑driven features end‑to‑end, build scalable data ingestion and API systems, partner with product/design/customer teams to translate ambiguous problems into measurable outcomes, mentor engineers, and raise engineering quality and standards across the organization.

Own full-cycle enterprise sales for strategic accounts across TX/OK/LA/AR. Prospect, qualify, manage POCs and trials, negotiate multifaceted pricing, build C-level relationships, and close $100k–$500k deals while traveling monthly to meet customers.

Own the multi-year vision and end-to-end software install experience for Samsara devices. Drive install correctness metric, design guided install and verification flows in the Samsara Fleet app, build intelligence to verify hardware installs, provide fleet readiness visibility, run customer install observations, and translate findings into roadmap across hardware, firmware, and software.

Lead and grow a data platform engineering team to build and maintain a petabyte-scale data lake and infrastructure. Drive platform roadmap, scale systems globally, collaborate cross-functionally, and embed best practices for security, privacy, and AI transformation.

Design, build, and operate large-scale data platforms and Spark/PySpark pipelines. Enable data integration, modeling, quality, and observability. Build MCP servers and AI-augmented tooling, mentor engineers, and lead cross-functional projects to deliver reliable data products.

Provide Tier 2 hardware and software support for Samsara's IoT products, troubleshoot medium-to-high complexity issues, manage tickets, author knowledge base articles, partner with Engineering and Product teams, and meet SLA goals while supporting customers across hardware, mobile apps, APIs, and cloud services.
