As a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will collaborate with enterprise clients to architect and deploy tailored AI solutions while integrating these systems into client infrastructures. You'll lead customer engagements, build AI agents, implement data pipelines, and solve complex technical issues.

Design and build a novel, highly scalable data infrastructure to aggregate and stage simulation outputs and user inputs for LLM consumption. Architect massive batch pipelines, complex relational data models, and low-latency distributed processing. Lead technical direction, solve ambiguous first-principles problems, and optimize data for downstream AI decision systems supporting government customers.

Engagement Managers will be responsible for managing customer relationships, overseeing project execution, and ensuring timely delivery of Scale's products and services while monitoring performance and improving operational efficiencies.

The Forward Deployed Engineer will deliver critical data solutions, collaborate with customers, and lead projects in Generative AI, impacting both private and public sectors.

Independently manage a full North America employee relations caseload—investigations, performance management, and separations. Advise managers, partner with Legal and HRBPs, maintain defensible documentation in HR Acuity, and help scale ER processes and programs such as the Whistleblower Hotline.

Lead end-to-end delivery of the Scale Generative AI Platform by aligning cross-functional teams, translating infrastructure complexity into executable roadmaps, mitigating technical risks, defining SLOs, and driving company-wide adoption of scalable, secure model-serving and orchestration capabilities.

Lead end-to-end AI advisory engagements in a chosen vertical: qualify and sell advisory in pre-sales, run discovery workshops, scope SOWs, deliver final readouts, build vertical POV and playbooks, coordinate technical and design partners, and manage and coach a Consultant. Frequent travel (30–60%) required.

Design, build, and maintain foundational platform systems and cloud infrastructure supporting Scale's AI data and RLHF products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define features, improve engineering practices, and drive platform reliability, deployment, and CI/CD workflows.

Lead and run AI advisory engagements: conduct market research, impact sizing, synthesis, and workshops; manage timelines and cross-functional coordination; build reusable playbooks and AI-powered automation to accelerate delivery and commercial expansion.

Lead US East enterprise engagements, manage multidisciplinary forward-deployed teams, drive end-to-end delivery of production-grade agentic/generative AI systems, partner with Sales/Product, ensure evals-first reliability and executive-level customer relationships, and hire and mentor regional technical leaders.
