Serve as a technical partner-facing presales engineer: build trusted partner relationships, enable partners to resell and support Akamai products, support channel sales to grow revenue, create customized sales resources and use cases, present technical solutions, and represent partner needs across product, marketing, services, and support.

The Principal Product Manager will lead product strategy and development for Akamai's Public Sector cloud products, ensuring compliance and collaborating with stakeholders.

Own the cloud network security product roadmap, define strategy and priorities, and drive product-market fit through customer engagement and proof-of-concept conversion. Lead enterprise buyer and field-team relationships, translate customer needs into engineering requirements, manage trade-offs, and shape go-to-market positioning with product marketing. Advocate for cloud investments across data center, Kubernetes, and platform capabilities.

Design, develop, test, and operate scalable infrastructure and services for Akamai Cloud. Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and similar tools), CI/CD, and observability. Automate reliability improvements, mentor engineers, collaborate on incident response and root-cause remediation, and participate in on-call rotations.

Lead product strategy and roadmaps for platform security and infrastructure, operationalize secure paved paths, manage lifecycle of core systems, partner with hardware vendors, support internal engineering teams, and develop business and financial models to guide technical debt decisions, monitoring, and maintenance processes.

Lead design, implementation, automation, and troubleshooting of Akamai's global network infrastructure. Build and maintain scalable BGP routing, data center CLOS fabrics, overlay technologies (VxLAN/EVPN), multi-vendor environments, and automation templates. Drive hardware/platform rollouts, deep-dive analysis, and clear documentation to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.

Lead product strategy and roadmap for Akamai's core compute offerings, bridging hardware and developer experiences. Gather and document technical requirements, prioritize features, analyze metrics for KPIs and profitability, collaborate cross-functionally, and engage customers and partners to drive compute platform adoption and improvements.

Designs and guides scalable, reliable, secure software architecture for Akamai’s global network operations systems. Responsibilities include developing architectural standards, presenting technical visions, collaborating with product and engineering teams, ensuring comprehensive testing and quality practices, and researching emerging network operations and automation technologies. The role requires extensive distributed systems architecture experience and software development lifecycle knowledge in Unix/Linux environments.

Provide advanced technical support for enterprise customers, diagnose and resolve network security, OS (Linux/Windows) and virtualization issues, deploy software and networking equipment, maintain high customer satisfaction, collaborate with internal teams, and occasionally travel onsite while based in Cambridge, MA or Dallas, TX.
