Senior Legal Counsel will advise ABB leaders across the Americas on commercial contracts, compliance, disputes, employment matters, strategic transactions, and cross-border legal risks. The role will negotiate complex agreements, manage litigation and external counsel, support mergers and acquisitions, develop contract processes, and coordinate with legal teams across jurisdictions and business divisions.

Provides strategic legal counsel for ABB Motion’s project business, including EPC contract support from tender through closure. Advises commercial, sales, finance, HR, EHS, and supply chain stakeholders; manages risks involving competition law, GDPR, product liability, employment, investigations, claims, litigation, intellectual property, government contracting, and digital law. Supports integrity initiatives, compliance frameworks, and global legal projects in a complex international environment.

Provide legal and fiduciary oversight for U.S. entities, advising senior management on governance, compliance, risk mitigation, M&A, contracts, data privacy, and government contracting. Manage corporate secretarial duties, regulatory filings, integrity investigations, and contractor licensing. Lead cross-functional legal support, harmonize processes, supervise paralegal staff, and collaborate with global legal centers of excellence to support business growth while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Lead product management for traction systems, evaluate customer needs, drive profitable growth, and ensure superior customer experience in the industrial sector.

Drive new business development and solution sales for ABB’s industrial automation and motion drive products among OEM customers. Develop strategic account and growth plans, build pipelines, forecast sales, manage CRM activity, expand account share, monitor competitive markets, support negotiations, and collaborate with engineering, product management, channel, account management, and marketing teams. The role requires extensive national travel and expertise in industrial machinery applications, drives, automation, PLCs, and HMIs.

Support regional sales by developing technical proposals, managing customer projects (quoting, orders, invoicing), delivering product/software training, building customer relationships, tracking leads/CRM, and driving sales growth and margin improvement for ABB Smart Buildings in the NY/NJ/Philadelphia market.

Senior commercial leader with full P&L accountability for the IEC Low Voltage Motors division. Owns commercial strategy, sales team leadership, portfolio management, market intelligence, and financial performance. Drives revenue growth, profitability, cost efficiency, trade compliance, and builds high-performing cross-functional teams to meet aggressive sales targets.
