The Manager of Financial Planning and Cost Analysis oversees planning and forecasting cycles, financial reporting, variance analysis, and staff development. This role involves managing departmental operations, providing cost information support, and preparing financial analyses for senior leadership.

Lead multi-year strategy and roadmap for provider network products, translate market and business needs into requirements, manage product lifecycle from ideation to post-launch, partner with internal teams, track KPIs, represent product in governance, and mentor junior product team members.

Provide technical support, onboarding, lifecycle management, upgrades, integrations, migrations, and incident resolution for clinical applications and supporting infrastructure. Ensure compliance, operational readiness, and vendor enablement while frequently traveling to client sites.

Perform information risk assessments, document and score risks, maintain risk registers, recommend and track remediation and exceptions, integrate security requirements into projects, support compliance with frameworks (HITRUST, NIST, PCI, ISO), and present findings to technical and management audiences.

Collaborate with stakeholders and data engineering teams to translate business needs into datasets, reports, and dashboards; test and validate data deliveries; perform root-cause analysis and defect management; ensure compliance and approvals; document requirements and status; mentor junior staff.

Lead a team in actuarial work, financial forecasting, and trend analytics to support Highmark's strategic direction and compliance in the healthcare industry.

Lead actuarial studies and analyses using actuarial and statistical techniques for pricing, reserving, claims trends, profitability, predictive modeling, and wellness studies. Define problems, outline data needs, produce recommendations, present to management, mentor junior staff, ensure quality and consistency, and implement process improvements across cross-functional teams.

Lead and deliver transformation engagements including capability and operating model design, process transformation, organization/job design, governance, business case development, and metrics.
