Serve as Employment Counsel for the Americas, advising People & Talent and business leaders on employee lifecycle matters, investigations, policies, disputes, compensation, benefits, and equity. Coordinate employment law advice across jurisdictions, including contractor classification, employer-of-record arrangements, cross-border remote work, mobility risks, and regulated-entity conduct. Manage external counsel, litigation, agency charges, and legal spend while building scalable employment-law playbooks and templates.

Lead the full B2B sales cycle for Airwallex’s SME and Growth customers, from outbound prospecting through negotiation, closing, and initial onboarding. Sell payment acceptance, cross-border payments, billing, and spend management solutions to ecommerce, SaaS, professional services, and technology-enabled businesses. Generate pipeline, exceed revenue targets, provide consultative solutions, collaborate on contracts and partnerships, attend industry events, and improve scalable sales processes.

Lead and advise on complex Billing product sales, enabling regional sales teams, scoping customer requirements, designing technical solutions, and translating billing capabilities into business value. Partner with account executives, account managers, product, engineering, marketing, strategy, revenue operations, and partners to drive adoption, refine go-to-market playbooks, test positioning, and inform the product roadmap.

Manage and enhance Airwallex’s global AML/CTF framework across policies, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions controls, investigations, regulatory updates, and governance. Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, Risk, and regional compliance teams to embed risk-based controls into global payments workflows. Support regulatory examinations, audits, partner inquiries, remediation, metrics, training, and continuous improvement across a complex fintech environment.

Leads the global technical accounting function, overseeing complex US GAAP treatments, regional reporting, accounting policies, product-launch assessments, judgmental estimates, ICFR, SOX-compliant documentation, and PCAOB-quality technical memos. Partners with product and business teams, trains regional finance staff, and drives controllership improvements through workflow automation, AI adoption, and implementation of new accounting standards.

Manage global company secretarial and corporate governance matters for licensed entities across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities include entity incorporations, restructurings, statutory filings, board and committee meetings, corporate records, equity administration, licensing compliance, and coordination with regulators, auditors, external counsel, and service providers.

Advise on payments and financial-services regulations across the Americas, including licensing, money transmission, product launches, regulatory filings, and payment flows. Research regulatory developments, provide practical guidance to cross-functional teams, manage external counsel, support regulator and government-relations work, and help improve legal workflows using AI and other tools. The role focuses primarily on US regulation, with opportunities involving Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Leads Airwallex’s global corporate transactions, including private-company financings, fundraising, secondary sales, M&A, joint ventures, and strategic transactions. Advises on corporate governance, capital structure, reorganizations, licensing, and cross-border matters. Partners with executives, investors, finance, tax, regulatory, risk, and product teams; manages external counsel; and builds scalable legal processes, playbooks, templates, and technology-enabled workflows.
