Own strategy and roadmap for tax payments and filings: build automation, tooling, and AI-enabled systems to ensure accurate, on-time tax compliance. Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and CX; prototype and ship solutions, prioritize work using data, and deliver end-to-end outcomes that scale with regulatory change.

Conduct end-to-end fraud investigations (account takeover, BEC, identity theft, payment fraud) using internal data, OSINT, and AI-enabled tools; document findings, prepare UARs, support customer remediation and fund recovery, and collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to strengthen controls.

Own end-to-end payment workflows (ACH, wires, RTP, cross-border), investigate and resolve exceptions, drive root-cause fixes, partner with Engineering/Product/Bank partners, surface CX feedback, and use AI to speed analysis and automation.

Lead cross-functional product and service strategy to scale Gusto's customer experience, design end-to-end service blueprints, and build AI-powered workflows. Drive go-to-market and launch processes, provide data-driven insights, influence senior stakeholders, and lead initiatives from strategy through execution to improve service reliability and automation.

In this role, you'll architect and manage distributed database systems, oversee complex migrations, optimize performance, and mentor engineers, driving operational excellence.

Lead development of new payroll tax products, handling strategy, execution, and collaboration across teams to deliver business outcomes and customer value.
