As a Software Engineer on the Infrastructure and Developer Tools team you will work on the bedrock that all other systems sit on top of. From databases and Kubernetes clusters to CI systems and deployment tools, you will own the mechanisms that power an engineering team deploying code 50-100 times per day. This team operates with a product driven mindset with its own Product Manager and the broader engineering team as its customers. Some examples of current projects:
Triage problems across the API stack to help address production issues.
Build and improve various components of the Core API such as queuing systems, build and deployment scripts, observability monitors, error handling, logging libraries, api frameworks, authentication endpoints and more.
Use your expertise to assist other engineering groups with application architecture and traffic pattern planning.
Design the architecture and lead the development of our computer vision and machine learning platform, including data management systems, data engineering workflows, model management capabilities, and their corresponding web app components.
Identify opportunities for platform-ization by communicating with other members of the computer vision team.
A Software Engineer on the Data Engineering team is really good at understanding and breaking down blockchain protocols and building reliable and scalable backend pipelines to make data available to our products, ultimately enabling law enforcement agencies, the world’s largest cryptocurrency businesses, and financial institutions to do things like take down dark web marketplaces, prosecute child predators, and solve the Twitter Hack (yeah, we do all that!). We measure success by how well we build components that are reusable and replaceable, reducing time to production, building tools that simplify data analysis and fostering collaborative relationships across the company.
You have successfully built cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per day.
You’ve added features to our product suite that detect activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioural patterning, and more.
You have helped the team to modernize our stack to a streaming architecture.
You have debugged production issues across multiple systems and microservices.
A Senior Engineer on the KYT (Know Your Transaction) team will not only thrive on designing and implementing complex systems, but also operating and scaling them in production. They are a mentor who grows the skills of their teammates and rejoices in the ripple effects across the company. We measure our success by how well we enable our customers to fight crime and meet compliance regulations.

The Test Infrastructure team develops and maintains high quality automated testing platforms across Engineering. As a Software Engineer on the Test Infrastructure team, you’ll help drive the technical direction for the tools and testing patterns essential for our engineering teams across disciplines and across the stack, and be an evangelist for best testing practices. You will evaluate technical tradeoffs and push for the best user experience to confidently test & release application code multiple times a day.
Help us hack a thirteen trillion dollar industry by building a product that will allow more people than ever before to own a home and build wealth rather than rent for life. Our tech team is small but growing, and you will be a big part of defining the technical direction and culture. We encourage proposals for projects off the beaten path, experimentation with different frameworks and libraries, and doing as you see fit to solve problems.
Better is looking for a Software Engineer in Test to work within a product team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is a quality evangelist, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This is primarily an automated testing role, and a chance to learn and improve your test automation skills using cutting edge techniques. The test team is currently small, but has big plans, which you can directly contribute to.
In this role, you’ll work within cross-functional research teams to conceive, explore, architect, implement, and validate cutting-edge audio algorithms and system prototypes. You’ll solve difficult technical challenges to create new and exciting experiences. Expertise in digital signal processing, experience in DSP implementation, experience with acoustic systems, and a passion for great audio are required. Awe-inspiring experiences, born from your creativity and deep engineering excellence, will reach millions of people across the world.
The Leaderboard Engineering team is responsible for the core leaderboard experience when someone takes a Peloton class. The leaderboard shows a person’s real time ranking or presence in the class. It is one of the most heavily used features and serves some of the heaviest traffic within the Peloton system.
