Serve as a flexible underwriting resource covering pipelines, absorbing overflow, and updating post-closing files. Underwrite across agency products per guidelines and investor overlays, maintain communication with leadership, ensure quality and compliance, and work remotely with schedule flexibility.

Leads infrastructure engineering strategy, modernization, project delivery, automation, and operational readiness across hybrid AWS, Azure, on-premises, networking, identity, Microsoft 365, and endpoint platforms. Establishes engineering standards, architecture patterns, security and resilience practices, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring, documentation, and support handoffs. Manages infrastructure projects, vendors, budgets, risks, and executive communications while leading, coaching, and developing an infrastructure engineering team.

Recruit and strategically develop Loan Officers, Mortgage Bankers, Branch Managers, and Sales Leaders across targeted markets. Partner with senior leaders and hiring managers to identify hiring needs, source passive candidates through Boolean searches, cold calls, networking, databases, and internet research, and manage candidates through qualification, interviews, and hiring. Track recruiting metrics, maintain candidate relationships, meet hiring goals, and provide regular pipeline and progress reports to recruiting and sales leadership.

Drives recruitment closing and conversion for experienced, high-producing Mortgage Loan Officers and teams. Owns late-stage candidate engagement, customized offer presentation, negotiation, offer acceptance, and onboarding transition. Partners with leadership and recruiting teams, uses mortgage production data and market intelligence to develop closing strategies, address candidate concerns, track conversion metrics, and influence hiring outcomes in a competitive mortgage lending environment.

Coordinates resolution of investor-identified loan conditions after closing. Reviews loan files, researches suspense items, obtains and uploads corrective documentation, communicates with investors, clients, and internal departments, and monitors loan pipelines for timely purchase. Maintains knowledge of agency and investor guidelines, identifies salability and warehouse-line risks, prepares post-consummation disclosures and refund checks, and tracks condition status through investor sites and the loan origination system.

Prepares and reviews mortgage closing documents for conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, TRID, Fair Lending, Reg B, RESPA, and TILA requirements. Calculates payments, escrows, prepaid interest, and fees; coordinates with loan officers, processors, underwriters, settlement agents, branches, and investors. Manages closing pipelines, disclosures, wire balances, funding authorization, document delivery, and post-closing corrections within required deadlines.

Provides system support for mortgage branch employees, specializing in Encompass LOS troubleshooting, loan setup, disclosures, system errors, and support-queue management. Coordinates projects, trains and mentors team members, maintains documentation, develops branch-specific solutions, and ensures compliance with mortgage regulations and agency guidelines. Supports West Coast operations during Pacific Time Zone hours.

Validate that loan origination system functionality and workflows reflect regulatory requirements and policies. Design and execute scripted and exploratory tests, document findings, log issues, retest fixes, and collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Operations to support remediation and audit-ready evidence.

Provide legal interpretation and guidance on mortgage fees, disclosures, documents, and vendor integrations. Translate regulatory requirements into actionable business and testing requirements, review system configurations and document outputs for compliance, conduct legal research, document decisions, and partner with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and vendors to resolve issues and support implementations.

Manage the Non-Funded Support Team ensuring timely dispositioning, regulatory compliance (ECOA, FCRA, adverse action), oversight of LOS pipelines, JIRA-based risk lifecycle tasks, UAT and post-implementation validation, and act as primary stakeholder for audits, exams, and compliance inquiries.
