The Chief of Staff partners with the President to drive strategic planning, commercial OKRs, leadership-team operations, cross-functional initiatives, executive communications, and organizational alignment. Leads strategy and operations for the Client Success organization, partnering with leadership on planning, segmentation, capacity modeling, quotas, KPIs, forecasting, customer health scoring, renewals, upsell, and churn-risk management. The role drives cross-functional initiatives, improves processes, reduces administrative burden, and supports Salesforce and data solutions to scale client launches, retention, and expansion.

Generate qualified sales pipeline through outbound prospecting to HR and benefits leaders at mid-size and large employers. Personalize outreach across email, phone, LinkedIn, and video; qualify prospects; uncover business pain; and book meetings for Account Executives. Maintain accurate Salesforce records, collaborate with Marketing and Sales, track performance metrics, refine messaging, and stay informed about healthcare benefits trends.

Resolve provider claims inquiries, audit claims across systems, and communicate accurate payment and denial information. Analyze inquiry patterns using SQL, then build and test AI-assisted workflows that triage issues, verify claim and payment details, draft responses, and reduce manual handling. Identify upstream process failures, improve provider self-service, and measure automation impact. The role suits business-minded, communicative candidates who can learn tools independently and prioritize accuracy in ambiguous operational environments.

Own Lantern’s competitive and market intelligence function, including industry monitoring, original research, customer and prospect interviews, competitive alerts, battlecards, response playbooks, and executive reporting. Translate findings into actionable commercial insights, train the sales field, improve competitive selling confidence, and partner with data, content, and enablement teams. This senior individual contributor independently builds the function, prioritizes research, and communicates insights to audiences ranging from sales representatives to executive leadership.

Leads Lantern’s annual budgeting and long-range planning process, rebuilds the enterprise forecasting model with a focus on revenue, and improves forecasting rigor. Translates executive targets into functional budgets and staffing plans, manages a two-person team, and presents recommendations and analysis to senior executives. Requires advanced Excel modeling, three-statement model development, cross-functional financial planning, executive communication, and experience with financial software and reporting tools.

Own and maintain the enterprise forecasting model, support annual budgeting, consolidate departmental inputs, automate financial and KPI reporting, and conduct market sizing, ROI, and cost-benefit analyses for strategic investments and partnerships.

Leads strategic and financial analyses, including pricing, network economics, and capital allocation reviews, translating ambiguous questions into board-ready recommendations. Partners with the CFO, CEO, Board, Finance, Commercial, Operations, Product, and Analytics teams. Builds advanced Excel models, executive materials, analytical frameworks, and reusable templates while challenging assumptions and managing multiple workstreams in a high-growth environment.

Own Lantern’s identity control plane as the technical authority, leading lifecycle automation, access governance, federation, privileged access, secrets and non-human identity management. Design and enforce Zero Trust controls, Conditional Access, phishing-resistant MFA, RBAC/ABAC, and identity-as-code using Terraform and policy-as-code. Establish verification standards, maintain entitlement and ownership inventories, govern key access, and partner with cloud, platform, service delivery, HR, and compliance teams while reporting to the CISO.
