The Chief People Officer will lead KIPP NYC’s enterprise-wide People function for 1,200+ employees. Responsibilities include talent strategy, workforce planning, recruiting, leadership development, performance management, total rewards, employee and labor relations, equity and belonging, HR operations, compliance, HR technology modernization, people analytics, succession planning, and organizational change. Reporting to the CEO, the CPO will advise the executive team and Board, partner with Finance, and lead an approximately 18-person People team across three boroughs.

The role supervises a Bookkeeper, coordinates with an outsourced finance firm, supports nonprofit fund and grant accounting, monitors internal controls, reconciles revenue and receivables, and advises leadership and department directors on financial performance and liquidity.

Leads strategic account executives serving major insurers, brokers, and MGAs. Owns segment revenue across new business, expansion, and retention; coaches enterprise selling, manages forecasts, sponsors executive relationships, drives account planning, and removes procurement, security, and legal obstacles. Develop hooks, cutdowns, CTAs, and creative iterations informed by social and growth metrics. Collaborate with Growth, Brand, Site Merchandising, and Merchandising teams; monitor trends; maintain video asset libraries; and occasionally travel for shoots.

Executes integrated go-to-market and product marketing campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels. Coordinates asset creation, quality assurance, approvals, campaign documentation, calendars, and cross-functional deliverables. Drafts campaign copy and sales materials using established positioning frameworks, tracks timelines, compiles performance metrics, supports process improvements, and organizes marketing resources. The role requires strong project management, communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with presentation and productivity tools.

Manages creative operations by reviewing briefs, coordinating schedules, deadlines, resources, contractors, and cross-functional communications. Oversees print and digital projects from initiation through delivery, improves team processes, maintains project files and digital assets, and supports efficient collaboration among marketing, creative, internal, and external partners.

Designs current and target-state business processes, gathers requirements for new workflows, identifies process improvement opportunities, and partners with technology and design teams in an agile environment. Manages cross-team dependencies, delivery ceremonies, operational issues, and engineering-wide initiatives while providing mentorship and career growth opportunities.

Supports the preparation, validation, quality control, and delivery of valuation reports. Maintains valuation data, databases, templates, and digital workflows; resolves discrepancies; generates production metrics; and supports system enhancements, testing, automation, and AI-enabled process improvements. Provides technical guidance and training to colleagues while ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely documentation.
